Giddyap! Cygames’ popular mixed media franchise Umamusume: Pretty Derby is being adapted for the first time into a “2.5D” stage play that will run in Tokyo in January of 2023. The production is produced by Cygames and sponsored by Nelke Planning, a stage company that is famous for its anime-to-theater-stage adaptations. The main cast of the play includes:
- Aya Yamane as Daitaku Helios.
- Riona Imaizumi as Yamanin Zephyr.
- Karin Isobe as Daiichi Ruby.
- And Hinata Satō as K.S. Miracle.
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby stage play will include songs, dances, races, and live performances chronicling the stories of the four main characters listed above. More information about the production will be revealed in the fall season of 2022.
