#Uber passenger fatally shot after pit stop in Brooklyn

An Uber passenger who requested a pit stop during his trip was shot and killed early Saturday in Brooklyn, police said.

At some point during his ride, Sheldon Nyack, 32, asked the driver to make a stop on Avenue H, between East 53rd and East 54th streets in Flatlands, according to police.

When Nyack got back in the car, he said he’d been shot, and the driver took him to Brookdale Hospital, police said.

He died there in surgery just before 2 a.m., cops said.

Four other shootings were reported elsewhere in the city between roughly 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m, police said.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m., a 41-year-old male was shot in the left leg and right arm outside East 141st Street and Brook Avenue in the Bronx by an unknown suspect in a black SUV, cops said. The victim was treated at Lincoln Hospital.

Just before 1:15 p.m., a 36-year-old male walked into Long Island Jewish Hospital in Queens and announced he was shot in the right shoulder, police said.

Less than 10 minutes later in Rockaway Beach, cops were called to 260 Beach 81st Street after a 16-year-old was shot in the right knee following a dispute with an unknown suspect, cops said.

He also was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital.

And just after 3:45 p.m., a man was shot outside 201 West 117th Street in Harlem, cops said. No other information was immediately available.
