Praeter no Kizu / Scar on the Praeter, the sci-fi action TV anime from Frontier Works’ mixed-media franchise PROJECT SCARD will get its stage play adaptation, Praeter the Stage, this fall.

The franchise has released drama CDs, character songs, and a web program hosted by its voice actors since November 2019, and the GoHands-animated TV series was aired for 13 episodes on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS’ “Animeism” programming block from January 8 to April 3, 2021. Its main story is set in Tokyo’s Akatsuki Special Ward, a planned special economic zone created by the government, and depicts the activities of Scard, the special agents with Divine Tattoos who have the power of the divine beasts, to protect the peace in the ward.

Sho Kubota, who recently worked on the stage play adaptation of Atsushi Okubo’s Fire Force manga in 2020, serves as writer/director. 33-year-old Hiroki Nakada (Akashi Kuniyuki in Touken Ranbu musicals) is cast as Eiji Arashiba, while 26-year-old Shuji Kikuchi (Tsutomu Goshiki in Haikyu!! stage plays) will play Yamato Kai.

Praeter the Stage is scheduled to be performed at Kyoto Theater in Kyoto from November 12 to 14, 2021, then at Hulic Hall in Tokyo from November 18 to 21, 2021.
