#Tsurune Movie Gets 2022 Release, New Trailer

Kyoto Animation’s Tsurune movie has received a new trailer and a 2022 release date. The movie was announced in 2020.

KyoAni previously produced 2018’s Tsurune anime series, which is based on a two-volume light novel series by Kotoko Ayano. Crunchyroll describes the show as:

When Narumiya Minato joins Prefectural Kazemai High School, he is quickly invited to join the archery club by the club’s advisor, Tommy-sensei. His childhood friends Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryohei swiftly agree to join, but Minato is hesitant at first. Because Minato is the rare student with experience in archery, Tommy-sensei orders him to give a demonstration, which Minato does… except his arrow doesn’t hit the target. It is revealed that Minato has developed a terrible dysfunction regarding archery.

The series’ staff includes Takuya Yamamura (Violet Evergarden: The Movie unit director) as director, Michiko Yokote (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) as series composer, the late Yasuhiro Takemoto (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid director) as supervisor, Nobuaki Maruki (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S) as chief animation director, and Miku Kadowaki (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S) as character designer.

Other staff include Shōko Ochiai (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S) as art director, Azumi Hata (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S) as color designer, Kōhei Funamoto (Violet Evergarden: The Movie) as photography director, Rin Yamamoto (Violet Evergarden: The Movie) as 3DCG director, and Harumi Fūki (Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna) as music composer.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Yūto Uemura as Minato Narumiya, Aoi Ichikawa as Seiya Takehaya, Ryōta Suzuki as Ryōhei Yamanouchi, Shōgo Yano as Nanao Kisaragi, Kaito Ishikawa as Kaito Onogi, Katsumi Suzuki as Tomio Morioka, Ayaka Nanase as Noa Shiragiku, Yō Taichi as Rika Seo, and Miyuri Shimabukuro as Yūna Hanazawa.
