#TRX x TR7: YouTube sensation Kyt Jimenez teams up with Terrence Romeo in San Miguel

Dreams do come true. Social media star and YouTube star Krystoff “Kyt” Jimenez fulfills his lifelong dream after his name gets called up during the 2023 PBA Rookie draft. The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) standout was filled with extreme happiness and brought to tears after the San Miguel Beermen took him as the 76th overall pick in this year’s draft.

Fans were patiently waiting for Kyt’s name to be mentioned and as the event was about to come to an end, it seemed like Kyt’s PBA hopes were over. Fortunately, the 26-year-old basketball sensation was selected late in the 9th round by the San Miguel Beermen. Kyt Jimenez was in tears and fans were cheering and rooting for him. Even though he was the 76th pick, pandemonium broke out as Kyt began walking to the center stage.

In an interview during the after-event, Kyt Jimenez told the reporter “It feels like I’m in heaven because I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a child”. Moreover, he mentioned that he also did not expect to be picked by a powerhouse team, ergo San Miguel, where his idol Terrence Romeo currently plays.

Despite being picked late in the draft, Kyt was still ecstatic to know that he would get to practice with one of PBA’s greatest point guards. Moreover, he will also be sharing the court with the GOAT, June Mar Fajardo, as well as other San Miguel veterans.

Although his role in the team is currently being evaluated, Kyt Jimenez is not guaranteed a roster spot. As the 76th pick, Kyt still has to prove to the organization what he is capable of. Moreover, he’ll be battling with a roster spot against former Ateneo standout John Troy Malilin, MPBL star Jayson Apolonio, Itchie Altamirano, John Gob, Jayvee Dela Cruz, and Jamel Ramos.
