#Trump vows to revive economy at Nevada rally, warns Democrats will ‘rig’ election

President Trump opened a three-day campaign swing through the West with a rally near Reno, Nev., Saturday night, pledging there to quickly revive the economy and keep the “radical left” at bay.

“At no time before has there been a clearer choice between two parties, or two visions; two philosophies, two agendas for the future,” Trump said.

“On November 3, Nevada will decide whether we will quickly return to record prosperity like we had.”

Trump pledged the support of police and “law and order” in a speech that primarily focused on attacks against Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden and other adversaries.

Reprising a favorite line, he said, “Sleepy Joe” doesn’t “know he’s alive.”

“You know where Biden is now?” Trump asked. “He’s in his damn basement.”

Trump continued to push his warning that Democrats were promoting mail-in voting during the pandemic in order to “rig” and “steal” the election.

As typical for the president, scant evidence was offered to back the claim.

“They’re’ trying to rig an election and we can’t let that happen,” Trump said.

“They sent millions of ballots — people died and they’re getting ballots,” he added later in his speech, referring to mail-in ballots.

“Probably everybody but Republicans are going to get the ballots.”

Several thousand supporters gathered tightly together for the outdoor rally at Minden-Tahoe Airport, ignoring social distancing guidelines, and many were pictured not wearing masks.

The rally was in violation of Nevada’s order banning gatherings larger than 50 people.

Trump bashed Steve Sisolak, the Democratic governor of Nevada, and other Democrats for allowing protests while trying to keep residents out of churches due to coronavirus concerns.

“They want to punish you for praying in church while they let agitators and arsonists burn your churches down,” Trump said.

The president painted himself as a victim of unfair investigations and repeated another frequent claim that he deserved to serve beyond the two-term limit.

“We’re going to win four more years in the White House. And then after that we’ll negotiate, right?” Trump said.

“Because … based on the way that we were treated we’re probably entitled to another four after that.”

Trump demanded local governments reopen their economies and their schools for in-person learning, even as new cases pop up among students across the country, and promised a coronavirus vaccine would come by year’s end.

“If [Biden] got in we would have the greatest depression in the history of our country … because he would do everything wrong,” Trump said.

The president’s speech was received with roaring applause and chants of ‘We love Trump!”

As the president bashed Hillary Clinton as a “criminal,” the crowd responded on cue with “Lock her up” cheers.

“If Biden wins, the rioters, the anarchists win,” Trump said.

“Arsonists, flag burners, they all win,” he added.

“I’m running for reelection to bring prosperity to Nevada, to the whole country.”
