President Trump on Friday alleged a double standard in favor of Democrats after Facebook and Twitter took action against his recent posts.

“The Democrats are doing totally false advertising,” Trump tweeted. “They have done NOTHING for years, including when Sleepy Joe was V.P., and they now have a Fake ad that my China Deal is losing us jobs. Opposite, & China is paying us $BILLIONS. Also, I LOVE Seniors & protect Preexisting C’s.”

In a second tweet, he wrote: “Why are the Democrats allowed to make fake and fraudulent ads. They should be called out.”

It was not immediately clear which ad Trump was citing from presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Trump is calling out the social networks after Facebook removed an ad by his campaign using a red triangle as artwork alongside a warning about “Dangerous MOBS of far-left groups” and after Twitter added a “manipulated media” warning to a parody video he tweeted attacking CNN’s coverage of race relations.

The Facebook ad drew criticism because Nazis used a red triangle to identify leftist political prisoners in concentration camps. The Associated Press reports the red triangle is occasionally used by Antifa activists to identify themselves, akin to gay rights activists’ use of the pink triangle.

Facebook said Thursday that the social network “prohibits using a banned hate group’s symbol to identify political prisoners without the context that condemns or discusses the symbol.”

The video Trump tweeted mocked CNN by depicting a white baby running after a black baby, which, in context, shows the two toddlers playing together. “Breaking news: Terrified toddler runs from racist baby,” a description says. The video concludes with a message: “America is not the problem. Fake news is.”

Facebook previously blocked Trump ads in March that described a digital survey as a Census. Last month, Twitter added its first fact-check labels to Trump tweets after he wrote that mail-in ballots could result in widespread fraud.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to request for comment by The Post, nor did the White House.
