#Trevor Noah to Host Grammys 2021

Trevor Noah will host the 2021 Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy announced. He’ll take the place of Alicia Keys, who has hosted the 2019 and ’20 editions of the Grammys. Before Keys, James Corden hosted the Grammys in 2017 and ’18. Previously, LL Cool J hosted the Grammys from 2012–2016.

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are set to broadcast on CBS on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 8 p.m. Eastern. In a press release, Trevor Noah said:

Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event. I think as a one-time Grammy nominee, I am the best person to provide a shoulder to all the amazing artists who do not win on the night because I too know the pain of not winning the award! (This is a metaphorical shoulder, I’m not trying to catch Corona). See you at the 63rd Grammys!

Trevor Noah was nominated for his first Grammy last year for his standup special Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia. The 2020 Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album ended up going to Dave Chappelle.
