My opinion on «Digimon Adventure 2020»

The new anime series goes into the story very differently than the original. Dangers from the digital world threaten to harm the real world and Taichi tries to prevent this together with his friends. The action-packed introduction shows how different it is compared to the original. Because here Taichi meets Agumon pretty quickly and, together with him, lays the craft with a Digimon that makes the train network of Tokyo go crazy. You’d think that in this new edition you get to see the cherished characters of the original in a kind of alternative, much more action-packed story. The pacing of the series is pretty fast, so the fights won’t be too long in coming.

As a fan of the original series, I was initially skeptical about the 2020 new edition of “Digimon Adventure”. But I was positively surprised. It is fun to see Taichi, Agumon and Co. go on their first adventures – albeit told a little differently. Anyone who is open to new things and does not expect a 1: 1 re-edition of the original will be satisfied with “Digimon Adventure 2020”.
