#That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Releases New PV Trailer, Airs April 5

A new PV trailer has been released for the upcoming third season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Season three is scheduled to premiere on April 5, 2024 for two consecutive cours

The 90-second trailer previews the return of Rimuru and many of his friends, as well as his confrontation with Hinata Sakaguchi. 

The ending theme for the third season was also revealed to be “Believer” by singer Rin Kurusu

Atsushi Nakayama is directing the third season, with Ryouma Ebata as character designer, Toshizou Nemoto (Backflip!!) as series screenwriter, Takahiro Kishida as monster designer, Ayumi Satou as art director, Maki Saitou as color designer, and Hiroshi Satou as photography director. Eight Bit is handling the animation production for the series. 

The first two seasons of the isekai fantasy anime premiered in 2018 and 2019, with the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond film following in 2022. An OVA based on the short story that inspired the movie was released in November 2023. A spin-off titled The Slime Diaries premiered in 2021.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on Taiki Kawakami‘s manga adaptation of the original light novels from MICRO MAGAZINE, written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius on March 26, 2015 and has released 25 tankoubon volumes as of January 2024.

The light novel series debuted on May 30, 2014 and is based on Fuse’s Shosetsuka ni Narou web novel, which ran from February 20, 2013 to January 1, 2016. 

Crunchyroll is streaming That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and describes the first season as:

Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
