#The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window Gets New Trailer, Visual, October 3 Premiere

The upcoming anime adaptation of Tomoko Yamashita’s The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window (Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru) manga has received a new trailer, key visual, and an October 3 premiere date in Japan. The new trailer previews the opening song “Saika” by Frederic.

The supernatural boys love series will be simulcast by Crunchyroll during the Fall 2021 anime season.

The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window manga ran in Magazine Be × Boy from 2013 to 2020 and has been collected into nine tankōbon volumes, with the 10th and final volume due to release on October 3. A live-action movie adaptation was released in January 2021.

SuBLime Manga describes the story as:

Shy bookstore clerk Kosuke Mikado has the ability to see ghosts and spirits, an ability he wishes he didn’t have, since what he sees usually terrifies him. Rihito Hiyakawa, an exorcist whose supernatural powers are as strong as his social graces are weak, doesn’t seem to fear anything, mortal or otherwise. When this odd couple gets together to solve the bizarre cases that come their way, their work methods may not be entirely safe for work!

The staff includes Yoshitaka Yasuda (Tsugu Tsugumomo sexiness/sex appeal animator) as the director and character designer, Daiji Iwanaga (Tsugu Tsugumomo storyboarder and episode director) as the chief director, Ayumi Sekine (Idolish7: Third Beat!) as the series composer, Masazumi Matsumiya (Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! co-art director) as the art director, Akira Hashigami as the color designer, Tomomi Saitō (Stand My Heroes: Piece of Truth) as the photography director, and Evan Call (Josee, the Tiger and the Fish) as the music composer. Zero-G is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Wataru Hatano as Rihito Hiyakawa, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kōsuke Mikado, Sōma Saitō as Keita Mukae, Chika Anzai as Erika Hiura, Satoshi Mikami as Hiroki Hanzawa, and Junichi Suwabe as Sakaki.

Hatano is also performing the ending song, “Breakers.”
