The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses TV anime adaptation has received its first trailer, a key visual, and a July 2023 premiere date. The main staff and cast members were also revealed, as well as the fact that GoHands is the animation production company.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is one of GoHands’ first new projects (the other being an adaptation of The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today manga) since the cancellation of Tokyo Babylon 2021 in March 2021 due to plagiarism issues. Like The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today, the main staff here includes Susumu Kudou (Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood director) as chief director, Katsumasa Yokomine (Scar on the Praeter, W’z episode director and stroyboarder) as director, Tamazou Yanagi (Scar on the Praeter, W’z) as scriptwriter, and Takayuki Uchida (W’z) as character designer and one of the chief animation directors.

Other announced staff include:

• Keiji Tani as chief animation director

• Makoto Furuta (Seitokai Yakuindomo character designer) as chief animation director

• Hiroshi Ookubo (Seitokai Yakuindomo movie co-main animator) as main animator

• Shingo Suzuki (K and Coppelion director) as concept artist

• Jimmy thumb P as music composer

Meanwhile, the two lead cast members of The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses are Masahiro Itou as Kaede Komura and Shion Wakayama as Ai Mie.

The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is based on the manga by Koume Fujichika. It began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker in 2018 and has 10 tankoubon volumes as of January 20. The manga was originally published on Fujichika’s Twitter account.

Kaede Komura has a huge crush on his seat partner, Mie-san. She, however, has terrible eyesight, and tends to either forget or break her glasse
