#The Case Study of Vanitas TV Anime Previews Second Half in Snow-Filled Trailer Revealing New OP / ED

The first half of The Case Study of Vanitas‘ TV anime concluded on September 18 and since then we’ve been waiting on more information on the second – and new footage! Well today that wait over, with the first main trailer for Vanitas‘ second half releasing today which not only announced but also previewed the new opening and ending theme songs for the chilly new season.

Singing the opening theme song “Your Name” will be Little Glee Monster, with MONONKUL performing the ending theme song “salvation.” Both of the singles can be heard in the above trailer.

Tomoyuki Itamura directs The Case Study of Vanitas at Studio BONES, with Deko Akao on the scripts and Yoshiyuki Ito on character designs. Crunchyroll is streaming the first 12 episodes right now and is set to stream the second half as it airs on Japanese TV when it returns on January 14. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:

In nineteenth-century France, humans and vampires coexist. The young vampire Noé is traveling to Paris in search of The Book of Vanitas, which is said to be capable of unleashing a curse upon all vampires. On an airship, he finds himself embroiled in a strange incident. It is Vanitas, a human calling himself a vampire expert, who appears before Noé in the ensuing chaos. In Vanitas’s hands is the very book that Noé has been searching for: The Book of Vanitas… Following this encounter, the curtain is set to rise on this tale of vampires, curses, and salvation…
