#Texas woman allegedly killed by abusive boyfriend in murder-suicide

A Texas woman was allegedly shot and killed by her abusive boyfriend who then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide, police and family members said.

Itzell Sanchez, 24, was found dead lying on the ground near the passenger side of a black Ford Mustang in Houston around 1:20 a.m. Thursday, the Houston Police Department said in a statement.

Cops also found a 21-year-old man in the driver’s seat who had a gunshot wound to the head and a gun on his lap. His identity has not been revealed.

Witnesses reported hearing Sanchez saying, “no,” several times before gunshots went off, according to KTRK-TV.

The girl’s mother, Claudia Sanchez, believes the man her daughter was with was her abusive boyfriend, who she believes killed Itzell.

“He would hit her and make her feel guilty for hitting her,” she told KTRK. “We kept telling my daughter to stay away from this guy, he’s not good.”

The mother recalled she was disappointed when Sanchez told her on Tuesday she was getting back together with her boyfriend after a brief breakup.

Two days later, police told her Sanchez had been killed.

“I saw two people in those black bags and I said, ‘Is my daughter in those bags?’ and they said, ‘yes,’” the distraught mother said through tears.
