Although it may seem like an unlikely partnership on the surface, Cordae has worked closely with both Young Thug and Gunna in the past. The “Pushin P” rapper guested on his From A Birds Eye View album cut “Today” while Thugger made an appearance on 2021’s “Wassup.”
With the 56-count indictment citing lyrics from Thug tracks like “Anybody,” “Take it to Trial,” “Ski” featuring Gunna and “Slatty,” Cordae demanded that self-expression in Black art needs to be protected and not used against an artist in a courtroom.
Protect Black Art ! Also Using Lyrics against someone on trial is nuts ! It’s a form of self expression that shouldn’t be used in a literal sense especially in a court of law !!!

Meek Mill also stepped up on Wednesday, calling for the freedom of the YSL affiliates while explaining that everyone deserves bail before trial.
Free thug … free gunna … free ysl … everybody deserves a bail!

Attorneys for Young Thug are set to make their last gasp arguments for bond in court on June 2. He’s facing charges of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced & Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act, along with several additional felonies.
