#Maryland vs. Clemson line, prediction: Take the under

Wednesday’s ACC-Big Ten Challenge features a pair of unbeaten teams in Maryland and Clemson that have been winning in completely different ways.

Clemson is third among Division 1 teams in fewest points allowed on a per-possession basis on defense and on offense has no set point guard, but has four players averaging between 2.3 and 2.7 assists per game.

For Maryland, it ranks ninth in the country in points scored on a per-possession basis despite losing its top two scorers from last season while Clemson brought back three of its top four.

Maryland has six players all averaging at least 9.3 points per game despite playing with the 26th-fewest possessions per game in the country while Clemson has had the 50th-fewest.

Despite the strong defense, Clemson is 210th among the 292 Division 1 teams that have played another Division 1 team while Maryland ranks 14th in that category, though a schedule of Old Dominion, Mount St. Mary’s, Navy and Saint Peter’s is a step down from Clemson defeating Purdue, Mississippi State and South Carolina State.

With both teams also being in the top 50 in opponent field-goal shooting percentage, this game will be one in which points figure to be hard to come by and every possession is going to count.

The play: Maryland vs. Clemson Under 135.5
