#Tenchu, Bloodborne Producer Masami Yamamoto Leaves Sony Japan Studio

As Sony Interactive Entertainment continues with its reorganization of its Japan Studio, some of the studio’s high profile developers have decided to make an exit. The latest is Masami Yamamoto, a producer who started on the Tenchu series and has since worked on titles ranging from Tokyo Jungle to Soul Sacrifice, Bloodborne, and beyond.

According to Yamamoto’s announcement on Twitter, the developer officially left Japan Studio on February 28, ending a 25-year-career at the studio. He went on to say that his job at a first-party developer was “full of happiness” and thanked everyone for their support. Masamoto added, “Ah, in the future, I’ll be able to make games on any platform… what a strange feeling!”

Sony’s reorganization of Japan Studio will center it on Team ASOBI (Astro’s Playroom) as of April 1.
