The DRB LasGidi shares a new solo track ahead of his forthcoming debut EP.
Nigerian artist TeeZee needs little introduction. Whether it’s as a member of alte group DRB LasGidi or when he breaks off and contributes to songs like Skepta’s “Peace Of Mind” (alongside Kid Cudi) his is a voice that travels worldwide. Today he is sharing the video for new solo track “BADI,” featuring Davido. It’s a song he describes as “a love letter to people of colour – women,
men and non-binary people in all shapes and sizes across the globe and comes with a video that matches that sentiment.
Loosely inspired by ’00s Nollywood classics, the video catches TeeZee and Davido partying through the night and into the next morning and beyond. It’s not all dancing by the pool, alcohol in plastic cups, and glamorous guests though, they also find time for a spot of tennis.
“BADI” is taken from TeeZee’s forthcoming debut EP, coming soon. Check out the video, above.
