#Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. Gets Mysterious and Romantic as a TV Anime

Good news for fans of mystery and romantic comedy! Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. ("The Detective is Already Dead", also known as "Tanmoshi" for short), a light novel series written by Nigojuu and illustrated by Umibouzu about a detective's assistant trying to return to normal life as a high school boy after the hero detective dies, is being adapted into a TV anime. The main staff has been revealed for the series, including:

 

  • Original work: "Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru." (written by Nigojuu, illustrated by Umibouzu, and published by KADOKAWA under their MF Bunko imprint)
  • Director: Manabu Kurihara
  • Series composition: Deko Akao
  • Animation production: ENGI

A new key visual for the upcoming Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru TV anime, featuring the titular detective, Siesta, reaching out her hand in the aisle of an airplane while surrounded by items such as a bouquet of flowers, a brief case, a school uniform, a frilly pink dress, and a stuffed animal shaped like a bat.

 

The story of Tantei wa mou, Shindeiru. follows Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became the assistant of a mysterious detective known as "Siesta" on a hijacked airplane. Together, Kimihiko and Siesta went on mind-boggling, globe-trotting adventures while combatting a secret organization, but all of that came to an end when they were separated by Siesta's death. In the present day, Kimihiko tries to return to an ordinary, boring life as a high school student, but things are never that simple, even though the detective is already dead.

 

English language versions of the Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. light novels are currently in-development by Yen Press under the title The Detective is Already Dead.

 

 

 

 

An official website and Twitter feed (@tanteiwamou_) for the Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. TV anime have also been published. The release date for Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru. has not yet been revealed.
