True love is written in the stars, because a new preview video, a new key visual, the opening theme song performer, and the Japanese broadcast schedule have all been revealed for Insomniacs After School (known as Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia in Japan), an upcoming TV anime based on the drama / romance seinen manga by Makoto Ojiro.
The opening theme for Insomniacs After School, entitled “Itsu Aetara” (“When We Can Meet”), is performed by aiko.

The original Insomniacs After School manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media, who describe the story of the series as follows:
Dark rumors about what befell the members of the astronomy club keep people away from the school observatory, and that’s what makes it the perfect sanctuary for Nakami and Magari to get some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, the school faculty can’t allow its unsanctioned use. But if there were a new astronomy club, maybe these two insomniacs could have a place to call home!

The Insomniacs After School TV anime is directed by Yuuki Ikeda and features animation production by Liden Films. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:
- TV Tokyo: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TV Osaka: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TV Aichi: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TV Setouchi: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TV Hokkado: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting: every Monday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- Hokuriku Broadcasting Company: every Thursday during the 25:25 time slot beginning on April 13, 2023.
- BS TV Tokyo: every Sunday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming for the previous day, so for example the 24:30 time slot on Sunday evening is actually on Monday morning at 12:30am JST.
