#The Rolling Stones announces rescheduled tour dates

“You can’t always get what you want” — but for many Rolling Stones fans, the band’s new announcement will do the trick.

After a 16-month postponement due to COVID-19, the Rolling Stones’ No Filter tour will return with 13 stadium shows starting September 26 in St. Louis.

“We are thrilled to be able to announce the rescheduled dates for the Rolling Stones 2020 US tour, which will now go ahead this Fall!” the band said in a press statement Thursday morning.

“We want to thank you all for your patience during this very difficult and unprecedented time.”

The band behind iconic hits such as “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” and “Sympathy for the Devil” rescheduled dates in Charlotte, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Atlanta, Georgia; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Nashville, Tennessee; Tampa, Florida; Detroit, Michigan; as well as Dallas and Austin, Texas.

Newly added concerts will take place in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The pre-sale for the Stones’ mailing list for New Orleans, Los Angeles and Las Vegas shows will commence on Wednesday, July 28, at noon to Thursday, July 29, at 10 p.m. General sale for these two shows commences Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. 

On October 13, the Rolling Stones will also play the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the first time.

Previously scheduled dates in Vancouver, British Columbia; Cleveland, Ohio; Buffalo, New York; and Louisville, Kentucky will not be rescheduled. Ticketmaster will contact those who purchased tickets for these shows with more information. Where feasible, priority ticket offers will be available for nearby shows.

The Rolling Stones launched the No Filter tour in 2017 in Germany and played 16 US dates in 2019. COVID-19 led the band to cancel its second North American tour, which would have began in May 2020.

During the lockdown, Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood revealed that he secretly fought a second battle with cancer. Still, he insisted in April that he and the rest of the Stones are “ready to go” once they can start playing shows again. Mick Jagger and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl also dropped a song called “Eazy Sleazy” via YouTube in April about coming out of lockdown.
