#Sekigan no Flashback Unveils Snowy Main Visual & New Trailer
A new main key visual and trailer have been unveiled for the upcoming Detective Conan: Sekigan no Flashback anime film. The 28th film in the long-running franchise will be released theatrically in Japan on April 18, 2025. It is also known in English as Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback.
The latest trailer highlights Mori Kogoro and Yamato Kansuke’s investigation into a mysterious terrorist attack in a snowy Nagano region. The film will feature Conan, Kogoro, and members of the Nagano Prefecture Police working together.
Katsuya Shigehara (Iron Submarine co-unit director) is directing the newest anime film, with Takeharu Sakurai (Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine) as screenwriter and Yugo Kanno (Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram) as music composer. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.
Many of the Japanese voice cast members from the TV anime series are reprising their roles in the film.
Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday on January 5, 1994 and has released 106 tankobon volumes as of October 2024. A 107th volume is set for release on April 18, 2025. VIZ Media releases the manga in English under the title Case Closed.
The manga inspired a long-running TV anime that first aired in 1996, with the first anime film being released in 1997.
Last year’s Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram is the most successful film in the franchise and the 14th highest-grossing movie in Japan.
