#The Dumpster Battle Hits Netflix on October 21

Haikyu!!: The Dumpster Battle, the 35th highest-grossing film in Japan, will become available on Netflix in select Asian regions on October 31.

The anime film premiered in Japan on February 16 JST. Netflix describes the premise as:

As the Karasuno team takes on Nekoma High in the third round of the national championships, Hinata faces his rival Kenma with everything on the line!

Haikyu!!: The Dumpster Battle is the first new Haikyu!! anime since 2020’s Haikyu!! To The Top, the fourth season of the TV anime. The anime is based on the Shueisha-published Haikyu!! manga by Haruichi Furudate, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020 and is collected into 45 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media describes the manga as:

After losing his first and last volleyball match against Tobio Kageyama, “the King of the Court,” Shoyo Hinata swears to become his rival after graduating middle school. But what happens when the guy he wants to defeat ends up being his teammate?!

The first season of the anime started airing in 2014. In 2022, it was announced that there would be a two-part Haikyu!! Final movie.
