“Homecomings To Perform Insomniacs After School’s Ending Theme”

Indie band Homecomings has been announced as the ending theme song artist for the Insomniacs After School anime adaptation. The song is titled “Lapse.”

Insomniacs After School will begin airing in Japan sometime this April. It is based on the Shogakukan-published manga series by Makoto Ojiro, which began in 2019 and has 11 tankoubon volumes as of January 2023. 

The story follows high schooler Ganta, an insomniac who meets Isaki, a girl who has the same problem as him. The two teenagers meet after classes at an observatory-turned-storage room, beginning a strange relationship of brief sleep and shared secrets. The manga is published under Big Comics label and serialized in the Big Comic Spirits magazine.

Yuuki Ikeda (Arad: Reversal of Fate chief episode director) is directing the show with Rintarou Ikeda (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It r=1-sinθ) as series composer and scriptwriter, Yuuki Fukuda (Mieruko-chan ghost character designer) as character designer, and Yuuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) as music composer. LIDENFILMS is the animation production company.

The cast includes Gen Satou as Ganta Nakami, Konomi Tamura as Isaki Magari, Haruka Tomatsu as Yui Shiromaru, Seiichirou Yamashita as Tao Ukegawa, Lynn as Motoko Kanikawa, Natsumi Fujiwara as Kanami Anamizu, Sumire Morohoshi as Mina Nono, Mamiko Noto as Usako Kurashiki, and Shou Karino as Rui Haida.
