CyberConnect2 president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama shared a small update on the March-announced Demon Slayer: Kimtesu no Yaiba – Hinokami Kepputan during the “Piro Live! New Year’s Eve Special 2021” live stream.

During the “Titles to Look Forward to in 2021” talk segment, Matsuyama said the following regarding Demon Slayer: Kimtesu no Yaiba – Hinokami Kepputan: “While I’m unfortunately unable to talk about its current state or content at all, I think we’ll be able to deliver the latest information in the near future. But of course, please follow the news in Weekly Shonen Jump and V-Jump.”

Matsuyama added, “Development is going well. In fact, the majority of staff within the company are working on Kimetsu.”

Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada then jokingly said, “Well from what I gathered from the Games Neighborhood Chit-Chat [2020 Year-End Party], you guys are having some trouble, right?”

To which Matsuyama responded, “Shut it! It IS going well!”

Harada then added, “Really? Because I saw you yelling at some people.”

The topic came to a close when Matsuyama said, “Hey, if you’re working a lot, you’ll also have a lot to say.”

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan is due out for PlayStation 4 in 2021 in Japan.
