#Spy x Family Releases 27th Episode Visual Featuring Damian & Friends
The production team for the Spy x Family anime series has released a special visual featuring Damian and his friends for the currently airing 27th episode.
The visual shows Damian, Emile, and Ewen going through a forest area and connects with the second half storyline “Damian’s Field Research Trip.”
The first anime season aired in 2022 with two split cours, with an upcoming anime film titled Spy x Family CODE: White set to premiere on December 22, 2023 in Japan. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime outside of Japan.
The second Spy x Family season has season one director Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Dororo) co-directing with Takahiro Harada (Season one co-assistant director) and ceding series composition duties to Ichirou Ookouchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury), who will have two assistant series screenwriter as well. Kazuaki Shimada remains the character designer.
Other staff members include Minami Usui (Fate/Grand Order: Final Singularity-Grand Temple of Time: Solomon co-art director) as art director, Kyouko Hara (Horimiya Piece finishing staff) as color designer, Yuuya Sakuma (Horimiya Piece, Season 1 assistant compositing director) as compositing director, and (K)NoW_NAME (Season 1) as music producer. WIT Studio and Cloverworks are handling the animation co-production.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast includes Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger.
Spy x Family is based on the manga series by Tatsuya Endou, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in 2019. Twelve tankoubon volumes have been released as of October 2023, with a 13th volume set for release on January 4, 2024.
Viz Media releases the manga in English and describes the synopsis as:
Not one to depend on others, Twilight has his work cut out for him, procuring both a wife and a child for his mission to infiltrate an elite private school. What he doesn’t know is that the wife he’s chosen is an assassin and the child he’s adopted is a telepath!
