Switch worldwide sales top 152.12 million, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD tops 1.27 million

Nintendo Switch has sold 152.12 million units worldwide as of March 31, 2025, Nintendo announced in its latest earnings release.

A total of 1.26 million Switch hardware and 31.43 million software were sold during the three months ended March 31, 2025.

Nintendo also shared updated sales numbers for its first-party Switch titles.

The 10 best-selling first-party Switch titles are:

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 68.20 million
2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 47.82 million
3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 36.24 million
4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 32.81 million
5. Super Mario Odyssey – 29.28 million
6. Pokemon Scarlet / Pokemon Violet – 26.79 million
7. Pokemon Sword / Pokemon Shield – 26.72 million
8. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 21.73 million
9. Super Mario Party – 21.16 million
10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 18.25 million

Newly announced additional first-party sales numbers include:

• Nintendo Switch Sports – 16.27 million
• Mario Party Superstars – 14 million
• Super Mario Party Jamboree – 7.48 million
• The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – 4.09 million
• Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2024) – 2.10 million
• Mario & Luigi: Brothership – 1.97 million
• Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD – 1.88 million
• Donkey Kong Country Returns HD – 1.27 million (New)

More than 1,391.23 million Switch games have been sold worldwide.

Nintendo also said that it is forecasting 15 million hardware units and 45 million software units sold for Switch 2 in fiscal year 2026, which ends on March 31, 2026.
