“#Supreme, Fendi, Lacoste and more”
Call it Haute Shop Summer. From sneakers to streetwear, retailers around the globe are opening up storefronts chock-full of coveted goods. New Yorkers can pop in to Lacoste’s newly opened Soho flagship for a chic polo (they’re the shirt du jour, didn’t you know?). If you’re flying to Europe, make your way towards Milan and cop the week’s latest Supreme drop. For those beach-bound, make a statement with Fendi’s nostalgic ’80s-inspired totes made from sustainable materials. Wherever your travels take you, we’ve got your stylish delights covered.
Fendi
Splash into summer with a totally tubular new tote. Inspired by jelly beach bags harking back to the ‘80s, the Fendi Basket (above) might wax nostalgic, but its makeover is nothing short of right-now excellent. Designed with sustainability at top of mind, the whimsical carryall, offered in small and medium sizes in sweet hues such as baby blue, pale pink and Creamsicle orange, is made entirely of PVC generated from pre-consumer waste like soles of shoes. It’s fashion and function personified — now that’s radical.
Lacoste
It’s crocodile-rock time at Lacoste’s revamped Soho flagship, at 541 Broadway in NYC. Fans of the brand’s iconic piqué cotton shirts can hop and bop over to the new polo wall and customize their picks with the embroidery program. Customers are invited to personalize the sleeve, hem or collar of the shirt with up to five initials or symbols. Coming soon: limited-edition patches, creative collabs and guest panel discussions.
Supreme
Supreme’s hype train just added a Milano stop. After opening European stores in Paris and London, the cult streetwear brand has set up shop at Corso Garibaldi 20. The boutique carries collectable ready-to-wear, accessories and skateboards, and features colorful murals by pop artist Nate Lowman and sculptures by artist and professional skater Mark Gonzales. To celebrate its hip new digs, Supreme created boutique-exclusive limited-edition swag, like a T-shirt with the brand’s box logo superimposed over a graphic of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” Time to get in line.
Hervé Léger x Julia Restoin Roitfeld
Indulge your knitwear obsession with the Hervé Léger x Julia Restoin Roitfeld partnership. Creative director Christian Juul Nielsen teamed with art director, designer and model Restoin Roitfeld on a 20-piece capsule made of sustainable yarns. Choose from bodycon classics like cutout minidresses, pencil skirts and bandage bralette tops in a minimalist palette of black, neutrals, white and red. “I want every woman who wears the collection to feel confident, feminine and chicly sexy,” purrs Restoin Roitfeld.
Kith x Vans
Kith is turning 10 in style. To celebrate its anniversary, the hip New York brand has teamed up with Vans Vault on a men’s capsule: 10 versions of the OG Classic Slip-On LX dressed in custom Kith fabrics from the archive and marked with special logos. The lively designs — bandana prints, tile motifs, a forest scene, a feather model and more — will add kick to your step. Cutest of all, the collab includes five mini-sizes for kids.
