On Sunday (February 6), The LOX rapper jumped on Instagram and shared a video of his preparations for the all-star stoner rapper contest he’s currently trying to make a reality. The 19-second clip shows Ghost — who admits he usually prefers smoking “skinnies” — getting acquainted with a gravity bong.
“In Training !!!” he captioned the video while tagging “g bong” aficionados Wiz Khalifa and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. “But I gotta keep hitting @breal @wizkhalifa for the training techniques.. what have I got myself into?”
Despite his self-deprecating humor, Styles P hit the gravity bong like a pro, inhaling a full chamber’s worth of smoke without succumbing to the dreaded weed coughs.
B-Real and Wiz Khalifa also filmed themselves “training” for the Smokers Olympics over the weekend.
The “Hits From the Bong” legend put his iron longs on display in a video showing him taking 15 (yes, fifteen) consecutive hits from his Stündenglass gravity bong. “I could keep going,” he bragged before the clip cut off.
B-Real issued the same challenge to Wiz, who shared a clip of him practicing kush ups on his Taylor Gang-themed gravity bong. “B Real said i had to enter the 50 flip club to really be down wit the smoke Olympics,” he wrote on Instagram.
The Smokers Olympics appears to be picking up steam. According to a recent Instagram post from Styles P, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Method Man, Redman, Curren$y, B-Real, Jim Jones, Smoke DZA and Berner are all down to compete. Ghost is currently looking to get Devin The Dude involved, too.
Styles P — who famously put his love for weed on wax on 2002’s “Good Times” — has already championed himself as the favorite to win gold at the Smokers Olympics, claiming he’ll outlast the competition.
However, Wiz Khalifa fired back with some trash talking of his own last week, telling Styles, “You know what the young n-ggas do. We gonna bring some shit that’s gonna fold you like a chair.”
Styles P has yet to announce a date or venue for the Smokers Olympics, but he’s hoping to bring Verzuz visionaries Swizz Beatz and Timbaland on board to make it happen.
“We gonna hit Swizz [Beatz], Timbaland,” he said in a recent Instagram video. “We gonna get a studio setup, a little shower room to the side … The Smokers Olympics for Hip Hop has to happen.”
