#Stone Wars Announced for January 14

Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine revealed that the Dr. STONE: Stone Wars anime will premiere on January 14 on Japanese broadcasting stations Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, BS11, and TV Aichi. Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide excluding Asia, while Funimation will stream its dub.  

Dr. STONE: Stone Wars is the second season of the original Dr. STONE anime. All cast members and staff from the first season will reprise their role in the second season. Dr. STONE premiered in July 2019 on Crunchyroll’s platform and received a dub from Funimation. 

Crunchyroll describes the show as: 

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing… Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin!
