“#Square Enix's Project Athia and More Get PS5 Release Windows”
If you're still having trouble securing a PlayStation 5, don't feel bad, you're definitely not alone. Thankfully, it looks like it'll be a little while longer before some of the most anticipated new games are on shelves, so no rush. One of those games is Square Enix's mysterious Project Athia, which is currently listed for January 2022.
Back in December, a PS5 demo reel included the small-print detail that Project Athia will be console exclusive on PS5 for at least two years. The latest update on the project comes from a video presentation Sony made during the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show, in which the following blink-and-you'll-miss-it screen lists a handful of dates and windows.
Here's how things are looking at the moment:
- Hitman 3 – January 2021
- Returnal – March 19, 2021
- Kena: Bridge of Spirits – March 2021
- Solar Ash – June 2021
- Little Devil Inside – July 2021
- Stray – October 2021
- GhostWire: Tokyo – October 2021
- Ratchet & Clank – 2021
- Horizon: Forbidden West – 2021
- Project Athia – January 2022
- Pragmata – 2023
Capcom's date for Pragmata presents a delay, as the company first gave it a 2022 release window on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Games like the followup to Horizon: Zero Dawn—which is also coming to PS4—remain pretty vague, but it's nice to have a better idea of when to expect some of these upcoming PS5 titles.
