#Southampton eatery wants to make a home for Barney the runaway bull

A trendy Southampton restaurant is steering funds toward finding a permanent home for Barney the runaway bull — by hawking “Bull Martinis.”

The bovine fugitive, who dodged the slaughterhouse by busting out of a Manorville farm last week, has since eluded police and animal rescue workers but could have a home in the Hamptons when he’s finally captured.

“I was intrigued in that I am a big animal rights activist as well as animal lover,” Michael Pitsinos, owner of NAIA restaurant in Southampton’s Capri Hotel, told The Post.

“NAIA is in partnership with the Southampton Animal Shelter, dong charitable events all the time,” Pitsinos said in an email. “We just built a big dog park on the property. There is a large grassy area next to it where Barney can live out his days safely and comfortably.”

The restaurant is raising money for the project by selling “Bull Martinis,” a concoction made with Red Bull, Pitsinos said.

He said after learning about Barney’s plight on July 20, he discussed the idea of finding the beast a forever home with customers, who gave him the thumbs up.

The bull has been spotted in Mastic and as far as Stony Brook after running off and has managed to stay free despite trekking in residential neighborhoods.

Authorities have even used helicopters equipped with thermal cameras to find Barney — to no avail.

They even tried to lure him by piquing his interest — with a heifer-in-heat named “Norma Jean.“

Pitsinos said Barney has now earned a new lease on life and said his property is the perfect place — noting that the Suffolk County seal features a bull as the county symbol.

“This bull can live the tony life in Southampton,” he said. “Barney, this is no Blarney.”
