A North Carolina high school has been placed on lockdown after at least one person was reportedly shot on campus Wednesday, authorities said.

Authorities received a call just after 12 p.m. from a school resource officer about someone shot at Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, news station WXII reported.

“There has been a shooting on school property,” the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. “We and the [Winston-Salem Police Department] have secured the campus and are doing everything possible to keep students safe.”

The sheriff’s office said it had begun transporting all students to the Robinhood Family YMCA, a little over a mile away.

“Parents can report there to be reunited with their children,” authorities said. “Reunification will take some time as students are being transported in stages. “

No further details were provided about the shooting. The condition of the victim has not been released.
