#SHINE POST Anime Unveils “Absolute Idol” Hotaru

A new character has been unveiled for the upcoming SHINE POST idol anime. Voiced by Ayaka Oohashi, the character is named Hotaru and is also known in-universe as the “Absolute Idol.”

SHINE POST is set to premiere in Summer 2022. It is part of a media mix idol project that includes a light novel, a mobile game, and live events. The light novel, which is written by Rakuda and illustrated by Buriki, follows the TiNgS idol unit and their unmotivated manager.

The real-life idol group consists of Moeko Kanisawa, Yuuko Natsuyoshi, Sayumi Suzushiro, Rimo Hasegawa, and Rika Nakagawa, who also voice the members of the fictional media version of TiNgS. The five of them voice Kyouka Tamaki, Rio Seibu, Haru Nabatame, Yukio Gionji, and Momiji Itou respectively.

The staff includes Kei Oikawa (Umamusume: Pretty Derby) as director, SPP as series composer, Rakuda (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me? light novel) and Tatsuto Higuchi (Revue Starlight series composer) as scriptwriters, Buriki (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me? light novel) as original character designer, and Yoshihiro Nagata (The Hero Is Overpowered But Overly Cautious animation director) as character designer. Studio KAI is the animation production studio.
