#Shelley FKA DRAM Shares New Song “Exposure”: Listen

DRAM is now better known as Shelley FKA DRAM. He’s shared a new single tonight called “Exposure”—the first under his new moniker. Check it out along with a re-introduction video from the singer below. 

Born Shelley Massenburg-Smith, Shelley FKA DRAM shared a statement about the change to his stage name:

After the release of my debut album, ‘Big Baby DRAM,’ I’ve worked on so many things, but most importantly I was working on me. Ever since I was introduced to the world with “Cha Cha,” my career has taken me on a journey enabling me to meet people like Rubin, Snoop, Queen Bey, and Queen Erykah Badu. I got to travel the globe, tour with Kendrick and I did Coachella. On top of all of that, simultaneously wrapped up in the fast life. I was moving with no breaks, because that’s how life was coming to me, so I took some time to focus on my health, voice and growth; focus on me. Now it’s time for everyone to meet me: Shelley.

Since releasing his debut-full length Big Baby DRAM in 2016, Shelley has released two EPs: 2017’s #1HappyHoliday and 2018’s That’s a Girl’s Name. “Exposure” is Shelley’s first new material as a lead artist since his 2019 single “The Lay Down,” which featured H.E.R. and Watt.
