Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the launch of two new manga labels for the Boys’ Love and Girls’ Love/yuri genre. The announcement from the North American publisher comes after years of expanding its catalog within those genres and the ever-expanding manga marketplace. 

The new labels will be titled Seven Seas BL and Seven Seas GL respectively. Books under these new labels will include manga, light novels, and more. It will also include works that are rated anywhere from Teen to Mature. 

The labels will launch with six new licenses, which feature both manga and light novels published on print and digital formats. 

Seven Seas will release the mature-rated isekai fantasy The Titan’s Bride by ITKZ. The risque Boys-Love manga follows the love between a regular human and a giant titan prince. The manga was first published on March 28, 2019 with two tankoubon volumes published so far. An anime adaptation consisting of nine episodes in total aired from July 6, 2020 to August 31, 2020. 

The special English print release of this manga will feature the completely uncensored original art that’s not available in other editions. The first volume will be released this coming October 2022 in single large-trim editions. 

The manga’s story is described as:

Mizuki Kouichi is about to take his final exams and graduate from high school when he suddenly finds himself transported to a fantasy world–specifically, to a kingdom of titans! The country’s beautiful denizens are almost twice the size of Kouichi, who was a tall basketball star back home. To his surprise, one of the giants, Prince Caius, claims Kouichi as his bride! Due to a dire prophecy, the prince’s upcoming nuptials cannot be with anyone of his world, so he’s happy to take Kouichi as his “wife.” What starts as big trouble for Kouichi turns into a grand romantic adventure when he finds out that Caius truly has a lot of love to give. 

Aki Aoi’s Entangled with You: The Garden of 100 Grasses Boys-Love manga will be released for the first time in North America in December 2022. The self-contained series will be published as a single large-trim edition in print and digital formats. 

Seven Seas describes the manga as:

Once upon a time, Marcel’s sister fell in the forest while gathering herbs. Her injuries were grave and Marcel was at a loss for what to do, until a fearsome horned man appeared, offering help–in exchange for a promise. The first volume of Nore’s I’m Kinda Chubby and I’m Your Hero will be released in North America in January 2023. The series was first published in Comic Qurie magazine in 2021 and has released two tankoubon volumes, collecting 10 total chapters. The manga will be available as single large-trim editions on both print and digital platforms.

The Boys-Love series is described as:

Lights, camera, Boys’ Love! Honjiro is a rookie actor trying his best to land a breakout role, but he fears that his weight stands in the way of his dreams. One day, he’s surprised by fan mail full of sweets. The package came from Konnosuke, a local pastry chef–Honjiro’s first major fan! As Konnosuke supports Honjiro’s work and gives him new confidence to face the stage, will their relationship grow beyond just aspiring star and fanboy?

A mature-rated, sweet and sext yuri rom-com will also make its hot debut in North American book stores later this year. The first volume of Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels! by Kuro Itsuki will be released in November 2022 as single-large trim editions on both print and digital platforms. 

The manga series was first serialized in Comic Yuri Hime magazine on July 18, 2020. 

Seven Seas describes the manga as:

Sweet but awkward college student Asumi never got over her childhood crush on her old friend Mai. She’s mortified by the memory of their first kiss, which couldn’t have gone worse. When she discovers that Mai may be working at a nearby brothel, she sees her chance for redemption.

The light novel series There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… and its manga adaptation have both been licensed by Seven Seas. The series is written by Teren Mikami, with Eku Takeshima illustrating artwork for the light novels, while Musshu contributes artwork for the manga. The light novels were first published on February 21, 2020 and the manga series was published on May 15, 2020. 

The first light novel volume of There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… will be released in May 2023 as single large-trim editions on both print and digital platforms. It will be published under Seven Seas’ Airship light novel imprint.

Meanwhile, the first manga volume will be released in April 2023 and available as both print and digital formats as single volume editions.
