#Servants and Masters Become Puppets in Shadows House TV Anime PV

A new character introduction video has been published for Shadows House, an upcoming TV anime based on the Gothic manga by somato about the strange daily lives of a group of shadow-people who live with their “living doll” servants in a mysterious mansion.

The video (below) features main characters Kate Shadow and Emilyko (in hand-puppet form) introducing themselves. Emilyko is determined to relay an endless list of Kate’s good qualities until she gets distracted by a tasty piece of bread.

Serialized since 2018 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump, Shadows House is set in a mysterious, Western-style mansion populated by a clan of “Shadows” who imitate the trappings of human aristocracy. The Shadows have no faces of their own, so they are attended by “living dolls” who act as their caretakers. The story follows Emilyko, a living doll, and Kate Shadow, the Shadow whom Emilyko serves. In the strange house where no guests come to visit, even today soot and shrill voices swirl…

The Shadows House TV anime is directed by Kazuki Ohashi and features animation production by CloverWorks. Shadows House is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and other stations beginning on April 10, 2021.
