A second main trailer has been released for the isekai fantasy anime Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement. The near 2-minute trailer recaps scenes from the anime’s first six episodes, which first premiered on January 8, 2023. The seventh episode is scheduled to air on February 19, 2023. 

The anime series is directed by Hiroshi Tamada (Gibiate assistant director) with Akihiko Inari (Inazuma Eleven GO: Galaxy scriptwriter) as series screenwriter and Yuuki Fukuchi (Otherside Picnic sub-character designer) as character designer. Felix Film is in charge of the animation production. 

Meanwhile, the voice cast includes Rika Nagae as Mitsuha Yamano, Rika Tachibana as Colette, Kaori Maeda as Sabine, and Jun Fukuyama as Takeshi. Additional voice cast members include Ruriko Aoki as Erene, Yuuji Kameyama as Tobias, and Kenyuu Horiuchi as the godlike being “It.”

The series began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou written by FUNA on November 2, 2015. It was then published as a light novel series by Kodansha’s K Light Novels label on June 29, 2017, with new illustrations by Touzai. Seven physical volumes have been released as of August 2022. Touzai illustrated the books until the seventh volume, which was then illustrated by artist Keisuke Motoe, who also illustrated the manga adaptation. Kodansha USA releases the series’ light novel and manga adaptation in English. 

Crunchyroll is streaming Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement and describes the anime as: 

Mitsuha is an 18-year-old girl who’s often mistaken for a middle schooler due to her childlike face and small stature. The story begins when she loses her parents and her older brother at the same time in an accident and ends up all alone in the world.

One day, as she worries about how she’ll survive, she’s given the “World Jumping” ability by a mysterious being that allows her to go back and forth between “this world” and an “isekai”! Now that she has this ability, she comes up with a plan for the future in which she saves 1 billion yen in each world for a total of 2 billion yen (80,000 gold coins)!
