“Sailor Moon and Jimmy Choo Collaboration Set to Begin on February 14”

As part of its 30th anniversary, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is teaming up with London-based fashion brand Jimmy Choo for a collection that will go on sale on February 14. Interested shoppers can sign up on the Jimmy Choo website to receive a notification.

The items included in the collection include:

Sailor Moon boots — Knee-high boots that are made with elastic material and are pink like the titular character’s rhinestone and boots. The heels have a lacquer finish.

Sailor Mercury ankle boots — A pair of patent leather boots.

Sailor Mars patent pumps — Patent pointed pumps.

Sailor Jupiter boots — Combat boots made with green leather.

Sailor Venus platform pumps — These are crystal-studded to represent Sailor Venus’s gaudiness.

Aside from footwear, the Jimmy Choo x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Collaboration will also feature accessories like:

Varenne Quad XS bags with artwork of important Sailor Guardian scenes. Their colours are based on the respective Sailor Guardian they represent.

• A monochrome Kiss Varenne Quad XS bag and a Kiss Scene Lise-Z card holder that depict an image of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask locking lips.

The Kodansha-published Sailor Moon manga by Naoko Takeuchi originally ran from 1992 to 1997 with 18 tankoubon volumes. After a 1990s anime series, the manga received new animated adaptations in the 2010s beginning with 2014’s Sailor Moon Crystal ONA. The two-part Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos movie is set to premiere in Japan this June.

Kodansha USA describes the manga as:

Usagi Tsukino is a normal girl until she meets up with Luna, a talking cat, who tells her that she is Sailor Moon. As Sailor Moon, Usagi must fight evils and enforce justice, in the name of the Moon and the mysterious Moon Princess. She meets other girls destined to be Sailor Senshi (Sailor Scouts), and together, they fight the forces of evil!
