The Boku ga Aishita Subete no Kimi e and Kimi wo Aishita Hitori no Boku e romance anime films have received a joint main visual, which features shots of the main characters looking at their respective love interests.

The anime’s Twitter account teased that the time and date of the visual’s release — August 17, 10 PM — is relevant to the movies’ stories.

BokuAi and KimiAi are set to premiere in Japan on October 7. They are based on the 2016 Hayakawa Publishing-published novels written by Yomoji Otono and illustrated by shimano and involve the concept of parallel worlds.

BokuAi follows Koyomi Takasaki, a high school student who lives with his mother following his parents’ divorce. One day, his classmate Kazune Takigawa tells him that she had travelled to this world from the 85th parallel world, where the two are lovers. On the other hand, KimiAi follows Koyomi Hidaka and Shiori Sato, both children of divorced parents, who meet and fall in love. When they discover that Koyomi’s father is remarrying with Shiori’s mother, they decide to elope to a parallel world and avoid the fate of becoming siblings.

BokuAi is directed by Atsushi Matsumoto (Infini–T Force Movie: Gatchaman – Saraba Tomo yo, Night Raid 1931) and produced by BAKKEN RECORD, while KimiAi is directed by Kenichi Kasai (Amanchu!, Nodame Cantabile) with TMS Entertainment as the animation production company. Both are written by Riko Sakaguchi (Mary and The Witch’s Flower co-scriptwriter).
