The upcoming fantasy anime series Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts will be directed by Chiaki Kon (The Way of the Househusband), with animation production being handled by J.C.STAFF. The anime will be released sometime in 2023. 

The production team also revealed a new key visual and PV trailer for the anime. 

The main voice cast for Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts will consist of Kana Hanazawa as Sariphi, Satoshi Hino as Leonhart, Yuka Nukui as Cy, and Natsumi Fujiwara as Clops. 

In addition to Kon, the production staff will include Seishi Minakami (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) as series screenwriter, Shinya Hasegawa (Golden Time) as character designer, Jin Aketagawa (Fuuto PI) as sound director, and Kohta Yamamoto (Attack on Titan The Final Season) as music composer. 

The original manga series by Yuu Tomofuji was first serialized in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine from November 5, 2015 to October 20, 2020. It was published under the Hana to Yume Comics label, with 15 tankoubon volumes released in total. 

A spin-off manga series titled The White Rabbit and the Beast Prince was launched in the same magazine on August 20, 2022. It takes place after the conclusion of the main manga series and features brand new characters. 

Yen Press released the Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts manga series in English and describes the story as:

A young girl has resigned herself to being the next sacrificial meal for the Beast King…but the king is no mere monster! Love is more than skin-deep in this gorgeous fantasy manga.
