The first season was released in April 2019, with seasons two and three being released in April 2022 and May 2023.

The long-running Ultraman franchise began in 1966 and has inspired many TV series, miniseries, specials, films, and comic series across the Shouwa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.

Netflix and Tsuburaya Productions describe the synopsis of Ultraman Rising as:

When baseball superstar Ken Sato returns home to Japan to pick up the mantle of Earth-defending superhero Ultraman, he quickly finds more than he bargained for as he’s forced to raise the offspring of his greatest foe.
