#Restaurant to Another World Season 2 Gets New PV, Visual, Additional Staff

The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Junpei Inuzuka and Katsumi Enami’s Restaurant to Another World (Isekai Shokudō) light novel series revealed a new promotional video, visual, and additional staff for the anime’s upcoming second season. The anime will premiere in October and will have its world premiere at Virtual Crunchyroll Expo.

The anime’s staff members include Masato Jinbo returning as director and series script supervisor, Yasukazu Shoji (Tamagotchi) as the new character designer, Junpei Inuzuka and Katsumi Enami as original creator and original character designer, Shinobu Ookawa (Kami-sama Minarai: Himitsu no Cocotama) as prop designer, Kenji Kato (Osomatsu-kun) as art director, Tatsue Ohzeki (ODDTAXI) as color key artist, Atsushi Satou (BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense) as compositing director of photography, Mayumi Komori (Spice and Wolf) as editor, Masanori Tsuchiya (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku) as sound director, Miho Tsujibayashi and TOMISIRO (Macross Delta) as music composers, with music production from Flying Dog. OLM is in charge of animation production.

The anime’s cast includes Motomu Kiyokawa as Artorius, Houchu Ohtsuka as Tatsugorou, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Lionel, Junichi Suwabe as Shopkeeper, Sumire Uesaka as Aletta, and Saori Ōnishi as Kuro.

The Restaurant to Another World light novel launched on the Shōsetsu-ka ni Narō (“Let’s Become Novelists”) website in 2013, with Shufunotomo’s Hero Bunko imprint publishing the first print volume in February 2015. The anime’s first season premiered in July 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and Funimation streamed its English dub.

Seven Seas publishes the light novel series in English, and describes the story as:

“Western Cuisine Nekoya” seems like a typical restaurant on the outside, but it hides an amazing secret: on Saturdays, portals to another world appear that allow all manner of unearthly creatures to sit down for a nice meal. Elves, dragons, or anyone else who wants to sample our world’s cuisine is welcome to partake before returning to their world, sated and ready for their next quest.
