Reinterpretation of Flowering Showcases Performance Preparations in New Main Trailer
A new main trailer has been released for the upcoming HANA‐Doll* -Reinterpretation of Flowering- TV anime series, which showcases the main performers preparing for their big show. The series is scheduled to premiere on April 9, 2025 and is expected to air for 12 episodes.
Masahiro Takata (The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World) is directing the anime, with GyroKnuckle (The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch) as series screenwriter, Risa Arai (18if) as character designer, and UWAN Pictures’ Saya Fukase as 3DCG producer. HANA-Doll franchise creator R/0 is credited as the “Amagiri” supervising producer. A-Real is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

- • Daiki Hamano as Ryoga Kagekawa
- • Kent Ito as Lihito Toudo
- • Seiichiro Yamashita as Mahiro Yuki
- • Shunichi Toki as Kaoru Kisaragi

- • Wataru Komada as Chitose Shorai/Chise
Reinterpretation of Flowering is based on MOVIC’s HANA-Doll 2.5D multimedia project. The anime will adapt the “first season” of the original drama CD series, titled “Flowering.” The franchise has released three seasons of drama CDs so far.
The mixed-media franchise follows the six-member all-male group Anthos and the three-member all-male group Loulou*di. The series has inspired several music, drama CDs, and merchandise. The first drama CD with two songs was released in June 2019.
A manga for the franchise titled Hana-Doll*~Flowering~ Boys were still in a dream was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge from November 17, 2020 to October 15, 2021.
The Reinterpretation of Flowering anime series is described as a “2.5D idol project” that centers on a special program called the “Flower Doll Project.” It exists to create the most perfect idols by implanting special flower seeds inside their bodies. The series follows the growth of these young men who dedicate their lives to musical performance.
