During the no-audience concert "PriPara Friendship 2020 Paradise Train!" live-streamed last night, the PriPara franchise announced the launch of its "Virtual Idol Life Project" and the release of its new smartphone game app "Idol Land PriPara" in the spring of 2021. Back in September 2019, Takara Tommy Arts registered two words as trademarks – "Idol Land" and "PriPaLand."　

The TV anime PriPara was the fourth installment of Tatsunoko Production and DongWoo A&E's co-production Pretty series. It was followed by its direct sequel Idol Time PriPara, and the whole PriPara series was aired for a total of 191 episodes from July 2014 to March 2018. Even after the TV anime ended, its strong popularity shows no signs of slowing down, and several live concert events have been still held for fans. "PriPara Friendship 2020 Paradise Train!" was one of them.

Meanwhile, the PriPara arcade game was temporarily ended by passing the baton to its successor, Kiratto Pri☆Chan, in April 2018. But due to its deep-rooted popularity, it was revived in October 2019. And a press release to announce the development of a new smartphone game app was released in May 2020. Further details of the project and the game will be revealed in near future.
