# “Pokito TV” successor? KiKa is planning an anime magazine

The children’s and youth channel KiKa is planning a new format around anime and manga topics with “Tanoshii”. Will we see a “Pokito TV” successor?

A daily format based around the most popular anime and cartoon series was a staple in the early 00s RTL2-Anime program. There was “Vampy”, “Be-TV” and «Pokito TV». The latter in particular, which was broadcast on RTL2 from 2004 to 2009, had great added value for young anime fans. Each of the daily, approximately five-minute broadcasts reported on topics that interested the young audience. Sometimes voice actors from “One Piece” or “Ranma 1/2” were invited, another time the ninja world of “Naruto” was discussed. But there hasn’t been a comparable format on German television for around 15 years. Until now! KiKa is preparing to change this situation.

With the new format «Tanoshii» wants the public broadcaster KiKa will be aimed at young anime and manga fans in Germany in the future. The KiKa will be showing the new show from March 21st one Thursdays at 8:35 p.m, in the ZDFmediathek one day earlier. The format will be moderated by Nino Guy, alias Ninotaku, who is already known in the anime scene with his YouTube channel and who also answered the questions from BuradaBiliyorum.Com (watch here) a few years ago.

And this is how KiKa/ZDF describes the new anime TV show:

“Tanoshii – The Anime and MangaVerse” is the new home for anime and manga fans aged twelve and over in Germany. The multi-platform offering is intended to provide long-term entertainment around relevant titles such as “One Piece”, “Pokémon”, “Dragon Ball” and everything that moves the scene. Social media content has been up since Tuesday, January 16, 2024 YouTube, TikTok and in the ZDF Mediathek online.

For the time being, 15 episodes are planned, which will be produced by the production company FLOW on behalf of KiKa / ZDF.
