#Platinum End Shows Off Angels And Powers In First Full Trailer

The Platinum End anime has received its first full trailer, which lays out the death game anime’s premise and previews various supernatural elements, including the angel Nasse. The 24-episode series is set to release in Fall 2021.

Aside from the new trailer, a new key visual for the anime was also released.

Platinum End is based on the manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata, the same writer and artist who were behind Death Note. Viz describes the story as:

As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness. But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world. Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive.

The anime’s staff includes Hideya Takahashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as director, Kōji Ōya (No Game No Life) as character designer, Shinichi Inotsume (Gleipnir) as series composer, and Digital Frontier’s Masanori Ikeda (Infini-T Force) as 3DCG director. Signal MD is in charge of the animation production, while Kusanagi is contributing the backgrounds.  

Meanwhile, the cast includes Miyu Irino as Mirai Kakehashi, Yui Ogura as Nasse, M.A.O. as Saki Hanakago, Natsuki Hanae as Rubel, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Nanato Mukaidō, Ai Kayano as Bare, Kaito Ishikawa as Kanade Uryū, Kikuko Inoue as Meiza, Tomoaki Maeno as Hajime Sokotani, and Hikaru Midorikawa as Balta.

The manga ran from 2015 to 2021 in Shueisha’s Jump Square Magazine. A promotional video and key visual for the anime were released in December 2020.
