Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 Reveals 5 New Cast Members

The official website for the second season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World has revealed the addition of five new cast members joining the show. The long delayed series restarted its broadcast in Japan of season two’s first four episodes, starting from April 10, 2025, with a new fifth episode set to air on May 8, 2025. 

The five new cast members include: 

• • Rena Hasegawa as Yumilecia
• • Yurie Kozakai as Cystea
• • Sora Tokui as Noel
• • Rin Kurusu as Nami
• • Hina Tachibana as Ashe

They join the second season’s main voice cast that stars: 

• • Yusuke Kobayashi as Iska
• • Sora Amamiya as Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX
• • Kaori Ishihara as Nene Alkastone
• • Nao Shiraki as Mismis Klass
• • Shunichi Toki as Jhin Syulargun
• • Ayana Taketatsu as Risya In Empire
• • Yumiri Hanamori as Rin Vispose
• • Azumi Waki as Sisbell Lou Nebulis IX

Additionally, a preview of the upcoming fifth episode was also released. 

The current delay for Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season II was announced in August 2024 after the premiere of four episodes. Before that, the production of the second season had been pushed from 2023 to 2024.

Yuki Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) is directing the anime series, with Shunsuke Ishikawa and Yuki Inaba as series screenwriters and Kaori Yoshikawa (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) as character designer and chief animation director. Studio Palette joined SILVER LINK in handling the animation production for season two. 

The anime is based on the fantasy romance light novel series, written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe. It was first published by Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint on May 20, 2017 and has released 16 main volumes as of October 2024. The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation that was published from May 2018 to March 2021. A total of seven tankobon volumes were released. 

The first season of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World aired in 2020 and was originally streamed worldwide by Funimation, before transferring to Crunchyroll, who are also streaming the second season worldwide.
