#Odd Taxi Anime Reveals April 2021 Premiere Date, Key Visual, PV, Staff & Cast Listing

The official website for the upcoming original anime Odd Taxi has revealed a new teaser visual, PV, cast and staff listing, as well as its April 2021 premiere date.

The anime’s staff includes Mugi Kinoshita as the director, Kadzuya Konomoto (Seto Utsumi) as scriptwriter, Norio Nitta (Inazuma Eleven) as deputy director, Mugi Kinoshita and Hiromi Nakayama (Yo-kai Watch: The Movie) as character designers, Kenji Kato as art director, Tatsue Ozeki as color designer, Miyabi Amada (Tomica Kizuna Gattai Earth Granner) as cinematographer, Yoshiki Ushiroda (Eureka Seven) as the editor, and Kohei Yoshida as sound director. The sound and music production will be under Pony Canyon Enterprise and SUMMIT Inc, with music by P.U.N.P.E.E., VaVa, and O.M.S.B. The animation production will be led by P.I.C.S. and OLM.

The anime’s cast members include Natsuki Hanae as Kotogawa, Riho Iida as Shirakawa, Ryohei Kimura as Gо̄riki, Kappei Yamaguchi as Shika, Suzuko Mimori as Louis Nikaidо, Moeka Koizumi as Shiho Ichimura, Manatsu Murakami as Yuki Mitsuya, Kоhei (Miki comedy duo) as older Daimon brother, Asei (Miki comedy duo) as younger Daimon brother, Kenji Hamada as Dob, Kōdai Sakai as Imai, Sōma Saitō as Tanaka, Makoto Furukawa as Yamamoto, Chado Horii as Sekiguchi, Takaya Kuroda as Kuroda, Amane Shiomiya as Kano, and Chika Kagura as Reina. Anime News Network describes Odd Taxi’s story as:

The story follows Kotogawa, an eccentric, reticent 41-year-old taxi driver who has no relatives and does not have much to do with others. He does have conversations with his customers, including a college student who wants to go viral, a nurse hiding a secret, an unsuccessful comedian, a street rough, and an up-and-coming idol. These conversations lead him to a girl who has disappeared.
