#NYPD reports man snatched purse from 85-year-old woman

A heartless crook violently snatched a purse from an 85-year-old woman inside a Bronx apartment building on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The male suspect was caught on surveillance camera committing the heinous theft inside the residential building near East 149th Street and Morris Avenue in Mott Haven at about 3:10 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Footage of the robbery provided by police shows the man dragging the victim out of an elevator and ripping away her purse.

The woman slammed into the wall and fell to the ground during the attack, the video shows.

The suspect fled and was still being sought early Tuesday, cops said.

The victim was hospitalized after sustaining pain to the hip.
